What is full form of NEET?
The full form of NEET is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.
NEET is an admission test to many medical courses such as BDS, MBBS and Post Graduation at both governmental and private medical colleges. NTA (National Testing Agency), the governing agency for the NEET UG exam, conducts it every year in different parts of India. This Objective Question-Based Admission Test (MCQ) is conducted offline with nearly 11-13 lakhs used annually.
Eligibility criteria for NEETs
The candidate should be an Indian citizen, if the candidate is not an Indian resident, they should be Indian Citizen (OCI), Non-Indian Residents (NRI), Persons of Indian Descent (PIO).
For applicants in all categories, the minimum age limit is 17.
For students in the general group, the general age limit is 25.
For students in reserved groups, the total age limit is 30 years.
Qualifications required to participate in the NEET test
Students must pass a grade 12 commission examination or similar examination from a recognized commission or university with at least five compulsory subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, English and an elective subject.
At qualifying examinations, applicants must obtain the required collective marks. In the general category, the total marks are 50%, and in the case of candidates with physical disabilities in the general category, the total marks are 45%. In the SC or ST or OBC category, applicants must score 40% of the points and physically disabled candidates in the SC or ST or OBC category must achieve 40% of the points.
Documents for NEET questions
The National Testing Agency will provide a code-related question paper during the offline pre-test. NEET will publish the questions in national and nine regional languages. Applicants will be asked to select their preferred language for question when completing the application form. The list of languages in which NEET questions are available is provided below.
