What is ARPANET
The Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA), a branch of the United States Department of Defense, funded the development of the Advanced Research Projects Agency Network (ARPANET) in the late 1960s.
Its initial purpose it was to connect computers at Pentagon-funded research institutions over telephone lines.The Internet Protocol was introduced in the ARPANET in the mid-1970s. The version of IP in common use today is IP version 4 (IPv4) and IP version 6 (IPv6).
History of ARPANET
ARPANET was introduced in 1969 by the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) of the United States Department of Defense. It was established using a lot of PCs in various universities and information and messages were shared.
It was to play as long-standing distractions and people were asked to share their perspectives. In 1980, ARPANET was handed over to a different military network, Defense Data Network.
